Want Something Changed Here?If you're not on this list and you wish you were, or if you want something changed on the list, click on the "Login/Create Account" button at the top right of your page, create an account, and then you'll see an "Edit" button on this page. If you edit this page, please keep people in alphabetical order as they are now. If someone falls into multiple categories, like if they're an MVP and a vendor, feel free to put 'em in both categories. If your Twitter updates are protected or if you haven't made any updates yet, please don't add yourself to this page. This list is only for people who are publicly Tweeting about SQL Server work. Spam users sometimes protect their updates in order to sucker people into following them, because they don't know what they're getting into. If you'd like other people in the SQL Server community to follow your Twitter feed, unprotect your updates before adding yourself here. If you'd like to keep your updates private, then there's no need to add yourself to a public list. Thanks for your understanding. What Twitter IsTwitter is like public instant messaging. Users like me post short notes, and anybody who follows a Twitter user gets a copy of the message. You get a stream-of-consciousness view into some of the most interesting people on the web. Using Twitter doesn't mean you have to be one of the most interesting people on the web - it just helps you FOLLOW those people! This is helpful for DBAs because there’s some really SQL-savvy people using Twitter. It ends up being a fast question-and-answer session sometimes. If you’ve got a SQL question, you can post it with Twitter and get an answer back within a few minutes if one of your SQL buddies happens to see it. If not, no problem, you didn’t bother anybody. You can sign up for free at Twitter.com, and after you sign up, you’ll want to start following people. That's where the lists below come in. How To Use ItThe next thing you’ll want to do is install a program to alert you when people send Tweets. Sure, you could go to Twitter.com, but you won’t think to do that very often, and you’ll miss out on all the fun conversations that happen so quickly. Our favorite free Twitter programs are:
